In just a few weeks a caravan of 16 Everest One Team members and 10 sherpas will begin its journey towards the Everest Base Camp, setting into motion the most ambitious civilian skydiving expedition in recent history.

Buddha Boogie

Buddha Boogie invites a small team of highly qualified skydivers to combine trekking, H.A.L.O. jumping and mindfulness in the Everest Region of Nepal. Trek, Skydive, Celebrate!

Everest One

The Everest One event is the first “fun jumper” focused skydiving boogie in the everest region. A “fun jumper” or “sport jumper” refers to civilian hobbyist having acquired a skydiving licence, typically from the USPA (United States Parachute Association), and logged hundreds if not thousands of skydives.

Team Everest One has 16 members, pictured above, with very different backgrounds. Real Estate, Commercial Pilot, NASCAR driver, Paramedics, Beta, Apple Computers, the US Army, to name a few.

The Skydive

H.A.L.O. stands for High Altitude, Low Opening. Skydivers exit the aircraft at 23'000 Ft (normally 13'000 Ft). As their is not enough Oxygen at 23'000 Ft. HALO skydive jumpers carry an Oxygen bottle and respiratory mask to prevent hypoxy. (It’s like combining SCUBA and skydiving)

The landing area (dropzone) for this event will be at 12'000 FT.

The H.A.L.O system are owned and maintained in the USA by Expeditionary Experience.

Organizers

Buddha Boogie Everest one is organized by Jatra Adventures, a nepalese company headed by Manish Misra, Expeditionary Experience, a Florida company headed by Rtrd. MSGT Chris Malone and TangoTech Intnl, a Florida company.

Aline Espina (Alchemist Aboard), a french buddhist is leading the mindfulness program.

Sonam Sherpa is leading the treking experience.
